New rules in Jesolo 2026: a cleaner, better‑organised beach for everyone

With the arrival of May, the 2026 bathing season officially begins in Jesolo, accompanied by several new rules in force since 1 May 2026. These measures are designed to improve the beach experience, with a focus on sustainability, mutual respect and safety.

To help our guests enjoy a carefree holiday, here is a clear and simple overview of the main changes.

Jesolo becomes “smoke free” on the sand

The most important new rule concerns the ban on smoking on the entire sandy beach area throughout the bathing season.

In practice:

  • smoking is no longer allowed on the sand, neither under umbrellas nor along the shoreline
  • smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas, set up by beach concessionaires and equipped with proper cigarette‑butt containers
  • the ban does not apply to:
    • the seafront promenade
    • beach bars, which may nevertheless choose to join the ban voluntarily

This decision aims to reduce pollution caused by cigarette butts, improve beach cleanliness and create a more pleasant environment, especially for families and children.

Dogs on the beach: what changes in 2026

The new rules also clearly define dog access to the beach, aiming to balance the needs of pet owners with those of other beachgoers.

Allowed

  • dogs may access the shoreline from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am

During the day

  • dogs are only allowed on the seafront promenade
  • safety rules still apply (leash and respect for others)

Specially equipped dog‑friendly beaches remain available, offering dedicated spaces for guests travelling with their four‑legged friends.

A more orderly and sustainable beach

These measures are part of a broader plan by the Municipality of Jesolo to:

  • protect the marine environment
  • enhance the overall tourist experience
  • encourage peaceful coexistence between guests, residents and operators

Small changes that help make the beach cleaner, safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
